About
Francisco Casabal is an Argentine visual artist and designer born in Buenos Aires in 1959.
He pursued Landscape Architecture studies at Harvard University and has been a resident of Dallas since 1997. Alongside his art, he practices yoga and quantum healing, supporting cancer patients.
For thirty years, he dedicated himself to painting and literature, until he finally discovered the world
of textiles.

“I was always afraid of sewing; it seemed like something from another world, extremely difficult,
until one day two years ago I bought a sewing machine. The rest is a story that is only just beginning.”

Founder of Che21 Studio, Francisco is a self-taught designer known for his one-of-a-kind,
sculptural jackets that mix art, creativity, and a story into every single piece. Each item I create
has a past and a future.

“I do not believe in fashion; I believe in inspiration without cause, in wearing whatever brings light and joy to life. Each of my jackets is made of countless hours of different moments—joys, melancholies, and a great deal of freedom. My entire collection is built upon the recovery of the forgotten;
every garment has its history and its past, and by wearing it, you turn it into its present.”
